The moon was shining brightly as it hung full in the air, causing the waves to rise violently against the edge of the cliff. Looking down the cliff, a figure examined the jagged spikes prodding out of the surface of the water, wondering if someone could survive falling down there. The lack of blood told the figure that one could, which greatly disappointed it. The figure was a man, who seemed to be around 20 years old, but the air around him would tell anyone that he had lived many years fold over the oldest person living, but his clothing looked his age. He was wearing an unbuttoned shirt, black pants, and a copper colored belt buckle. However, there was one thing out of place with his style, he wore a band that went around his eyes, tied off at the back of his head, completely blocking off any vision that could be received from the eyes. Parts of the band, the extra after the tie-off, started to raise as a gentle breeze began to pass through him, causing his shirt to flutter as well. The wind was blowing from behind, causing discomfort for the man, making him turn around only to spot his companion, someone that he had temporarily forgotten about in his moment of wondering if his prey had been killed. His companion gave him a worried work, tilting it's head to the side, opening her curious eyes, her tails, 5 tails to be exact, gently swaying randomly, giving little to no resistance to the wind. Her fur,was beginning to get ruffled, causing her concerned look to quickly turn into one of annoyance, and she showed it clearly as she stamped her forward paws down on the soft grass and spoke.

"When are we leaving? I can still sense his life force, so clearly he's still alive. It's starting to get chilly up here, I don't like it. And it's getting dark....you know it's not good to be out here in the dark." The female companion spoke, her eyes opening wide as she realized what she had said to the man, her fluffy ears drooping in sorrow.

"Relax Tennyo, it's no big deal, it's easy to forget that I can't see sometimes. But I guess your right, it'll be useless to resume this search until we can get some more leads. Do you want to go back, or will you stay here with me?" The man asked, but he wasn't referring to the cliff, he was referring to this world.

"I'll stay with you, my world is pretty boring anyways, nothing special ever happens there anyways, unless someone's invading, of course, I'd feel sorry for them if they did, they'd be in for a big surprise....that is, if you don't mind me being here?"

The man got onto one knee as he laughed at her question, patting her head softly. "Of course I'd want you here with me, I didn't go through all the pain just to get you to be able to stay here for nothing." He responded, as he started to walk, the moon raising higher over the ocean as the sun in front of him started to sink. She was right about one thing, the darkness would take set soon, and no one would be safe out in the open, no one, not even himself. The darkness hadn't been safe since the incident, something that was quite possibly the most disturbing thing in the history of the entire Seireitei. The day when hell broke loose into the world of the living and the dead. It was confusing at first, no one realized what was going on until it was too late, and they all blamed the one and only thing that could help them, Kurosaki Ichigo. The story was a long one though, and the man didn't wish to think about it, at least not until they got back to safety.

The female was right at the man's side, only reaching about 4 feet up, walking on all fours as always. She was a wolf, or at least, she appeared to be one. To be more precise, the was a powerful spirit, Zanpakuto as they were known. Zanpakuto normally aren't able to materialize and interact as normal, anything like her had only happened once in history, as a special Zanpakuto had the power to rip the spirits from their domains and out into the worlds. It caused mass chaos, but it was quickly handled. One day, while studying this all, the man, the owner of the blade in which Tennyo's spirit resided, wanted to learn if this was possible to do without any special powers. This special Zanpakuto had the power to sever the walls that blocked Zanpakuto to materialize to effect the worlds around them, so somehow it had to be possible, right? Well that's what he thought, so he spent most of his days trying to learn how to do so, for a few reasons, but one was because of his loneliness. After several experiments, and several near death accounts, the man had finally been able to master the technique, however, it came with a downfall. He couldn't use any of his normal powers while Tennyo was out, only kido and swordplay, which wasn't much of a problem for him, since he didn't like to use his powers that much anyways.

The man's name was Dakeith, a formal Lieutenant of Squad 13. Former because none of the squads existed anymore, in fact, Dakeith wasn't even sure if the Seireitei existed anymore either. The last time he saw it, it was in the process of being dragged down into something that he didn't even want to think of, Hell. No one knew of Hell's existence, nor of Heaven's either. They knew of the humans world, and the various world of the dead, but the idea of Hell and Heaven were just that, ideas. No one cared to find out where Shinigami, or any other spirits, go when they die, so they never knew of the existence of them. Like the traditional ideas, Heaven was the place where spirits who tried to do good go, and the ones who did wrongs go to Hell. Obvious. But the one thing that no one expected was that they weren't places for keeping when spirits died, in fact both were much like the Seireitei itself, in the idea that Heaven was running an army of "Angels" and Hell and army of their own. Their goals were of course obvious as well, Heaven to try to correct the things that not even Shinigami could do, and Hell to cause as much destruction as possible.

One day though, Heaven was getting tired of always having to deal with Hell, so in a gamble they attempted to seal Hell off in it's own dimension, with no access to any other worlds. They succeeded, however, the had miscalculated on something, as they ended up sealing their own access to the other worlds as well. That had happened millions of years ago. Over the years some of both Heaven's and Hell's energy started to leak through, as the seals started to dissolve. Hell, however, had found out a way to speed up the process of the deterioration, and were working on that, and that is the background to why everything had started to happen.

Dakeith had finally reached his shelter, one that he had built himself. He opened the Reiatsu shield around it and closed it behind himself, letting out a sigh as he sat on the edge of his bed, setting his two blades down on the ground. He gave Tennyo one last pet on the head before she circled around her bed and laid down. This entire thing was depressing for him, for as far as he was concerned, it was just him and Tennyo left.

"Tennyo....Why don't you remind me while were even doing this?" The Dakeith asked as he laid down in his bed.

"Well....I guess we could start off at day zero..."
Ok guys, so for anyone who's actually read my stuff about Shikamaru, I've hit a dead end, I just can't think of anything right now. So I've decided to write up something that's been in the back of my head for a while. I know it may be dry and boring, but it's the annoying intro to everything that we must always go through at one point in time. If you couldn't tell, the next "chapter" won't be Tennyo telling the story, instead, we'll be living in the past, seeing the story through Dakeith's eyes, you know, how they do flashbacks in cartoons when they start to say "Well then blah blah blah happened..." *goes to flash back*

Anyways, yeah. So basically the storyline will be this, Hell has found a way to get out, and their only hope, Ichigo, had been condemned and killed off because he had, unintentionally, helped Hell's release. It'll all be explained later on in my writings, that is, unless I get another fricken writers block that I can't seem to get over -.-

One last thing, let me know if you think this is interesting or not, I'd love some feedback about the whole thing.
